With the passage of time, the list of the wealthiest individuals in Indonesia continues to undergo changes. Forbes Real Time Billionaire notes that there are 24 individuals from Indonesia who have secured positions on the list of the world’s wealthiest conglomerates. Among them, Robert Budi Hartono remains firmly seated at the top as the number 1 wealthiest individual in Indonesia. He is the owner of the Djarum Group and PT Bank Central Asia Tbk. (BBCA).

His younger brother, Michael Bambang Hartono, holds the third position. Among the sibling owners of the Djarum Group, Low Tuck Kwong has slipped from the top spot in the list of the wealthiest individuals in Indonesia.

Meanwhile, at the 10th position, there is the name of Dewi Kam, a woman who owns a coal business. She is the only woman on the list of the wealthiest individuals, which is typically dominated by men.

Dewi Kam has acquired most of her wealth from minority shares she holds in the coal mining company PT Bayan Resources Tbk. (BYAN), which is owned by Low Tuck Kwong. Bayan Resources’ shares tripled in value in 2022, amid the global energy crisis.
