PROGRES.ID – Former AS Roma and Inter Milan star Radja Nainggolan arrived in Indonesia on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. His purpose in Indonesia is to liven up the 2023 U-17 World Cup. The Belgian player’s visit was extended by an invitation from the General Chairman of the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI), Erick Thohir.

Radja Nainggolan, who has Indonesian heritage through his father, took this opportunity to revisit his country of origin. He made a visit to the Sarinah shopping center and purchased some batik.

Erick Thohir welcomed Nainggolan’s arrival with enthusiasm on his Instagram account, extending a warm welcome and noting that the player would soon be strolling to Sarinah to explore authentic Indonesian products while buying batik.

Erick Thohir also confirmed that Radja Nainggolan would participate in the 2023 U-17 World Cup in Indonesia, which will be a historic moment for Indonesian football.

In an Instagram video post by Erick Thohir, Radja Nainggolan sent greetings to his fans in Indonesia and expressed his gratitude for Erick Thohir’s invitation. Furthermore, he invited fans to support the tournament by purchasing tickets and watching the 2023 U-17 World Cup matches.

“Welcome to Indonesia, Radja Nainggolan. As soon as he arrived in Indonesia, Radja Nainggolan went straight to Sarinah to check out authentic Indonesian products and buy batik,” Erick Thohir wrote on his Instagram account.

Radja Nainggolan’s presence in Indonesia is not only to enhance the event but also as a special moment that connects a football player with Indonesian heritage to his home country in the celebration of world football.
