JAKARTA, PROGRES.ID – Esemka, the local brand from Boyolali, Central Java, has successfully silenced its critics who often doubted the quality of its products. It comes as no surprise that the brand took home two awards at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2023.
In addition, Esemka was also awarded the title of ‘favorite local brand’ or the best local brand at IIMS 2023. In this category, Esemka was virtually unbeatable.
The President Director of PT Solo Manufaktur Kreasi (SMK), the manufacturer of Esemka cars, Eddy Widjaja, expressed his pride in the amazing achievement. This was the first time they had participated in such a large-scale automotive exhibition.
“Alhamdulillah, hopefully, this award can bring Esemka closer to the public and automotive users. Hopefully, in the future, it will be even better,” said Eddy.
Esemka was located at Hall A of JIexpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, in the midst of Jeep and Suzuki booths. Esemka showcased two of its best products, the Bima Pick-Up and Bima EV, both of which are already available in Indonesia.
Thanks to this success, Esemka now has the opportunity to participate in upcoming exhibitions, such as the Jakarta Auto Week (JAW) 2023 and the Periklindo Electric Vehicle Show (PEVS) 2023.
“We want to participate in all exhibitions, but as a business, we have to do our calculations first,” he said.
