PROGRES.ID – The social media platform owned by Elon Musk, formerly known as Twitter, which is now called X, has unveiled two new subscription plans on Friday. One of them is the Premium+ tier for users willing to pay for an ad-free experience, as reported by Reuters on October 27, 2023.
The Premium+ plan is priced at around $16 per month and offers all the tools and features provided by the platform, except for ads, according to a statement issued by the company on the platform.
However, at present, this plan is only available for users accessing the platform through a web browser. Meanwhile, there is also a basic tier priced at around $3 per month, but it still includes advertisements.
Additionally, X is also planning to integrate video and audio calls for some users, in an effort to transform the platform into an all-in-one application.
Elon Musk has explored various options to generate substantial revenue from this social media platform, which he acquired for $44 billion in October 2022.
