PROGRES.ID – Putri Ariani has captured the public’s attention through her participation in the America’s Got Talent (AGT) 2023 competition. In her performance, Putri successfully reached the final round with her mesmerizing vocals. Her impressive performance took place on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, in the morning Indonesian Western Time (WIB).
In her act, Putri Ariani performed gracefully by playing the song “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me,” popularized by Elton John. She accompanied her performance by playing the piano and was joined by a choir. However, she had to settle for fourth place in the competition.
The achievement attained by Putri Ariani is the highest ever reached by a contestant from Indonesia on AGT. Previously, Sacred Riana had only managed to reach the quarter-finals in 2018.
AGT Winner’s Prize
The question that arises is how much prize money will be awarded to the AGT 2023 champion? According to reports from The Sun and Forbes, the AGT winner has the potential to become a billionaire. This is because the AGT winner is entitled to receive a cash prize of US$1 million, equivalent to approximately IDR 15.5 billion at an exchange rate of IDR 15,500.
The winner also has the option of whether to receive the prize all at once or be paid annually for 40 years. If they choose the 40-year payment plan, the winner will receive US$25,000, or approximately IDR 387.87 million per year. However, if the winner opts to receive the prize in a lump sum, they will receive US$300,000, or approximately IDR 4.65 billion at an exchange rate of IDR 15,500.
